Boston Flower and Garden Show Preview Party In Review:

Nick Fradiani, American Idol Season 14 Winner

This year’s Boston Flower & Garden Show Preview Party, presented by The Genesis Foundation for Children, Mix 104.1 FM, and Paragon Group, took place on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. The event, held at the Seaport World Trade Center from 6:30 to 9:30 PM, was open to the public. We are thrilled to share that the event raised over $26,000, all to fund the coordinated care and programs for children with genetic disorders!

The Preview Party was hosted by local radio personalities Karson & Kennedy of Mix 104.1 and featured a live performance by American Idol winner, Nick Fradiani, a MIX Lounge artist.  Guests had the opportunity to get an exclusive first look at the show’s landscapes and floral designs the evening before the event opened to the public.

The Boston Flower & Garden Show is the premier event in Boston for florists, landscape professionals and area nurseries to put their work on display for the thousands who faithfully attend this event each year. The Boston Flower & Garden Show has long been a source of inspiration for professional and amateur gardeners alike as they plan for spring. This year’s Boston Flower & Garden Show theme was Superheroes of the Garden; a veritable Horti-Con, honoring the crusaders, innovative tools and legendary plants helping to make us all champions in the battle for garden supremacy!

“The Genesis Foundation for Children is so thankful for the support we receive from the Boston Flower and Garden Show to help fund our diagnostic and therapeutic programs,” said Dr. Catherine Nowak, Clinical Director of The Feingold Center for Children located at Boston Children’s Hospital in Waltham.  “It’s a great event to usher in spring while also helping kids and families get specialized care.”
