Big Break Courtyard-Pier 37 golf tourney raises $75,000

Posted on May 26, 2017
The Genesis Foundation’s recent fundraiser, The Big Break Courtyard ~ Pier 37 Open Golf Tournament was held on Monday, May 22.  With the support of our hosts, sponsors, and participants,  the event raised over $75,000 to benefit The Genesis Foundation for Children! For the past nineteen years, this event has contributed more than $500,000 (in total) to benefit the patients we support.
The event was played at the award-winning TGC at Sacconnesset (formerly named The Golf Club of Cape Cod) in North Falmouth, MA. TGC at Sacconnesset is a Rees Jones-designed course, rapidly gaining recognition as one of the best and most scenic courses in the country. The day on the course included a BBQ lunch, “Big Break” type competitions, auctions, raffles and the opportunity to win some great prizes.

The Courtyard Restaurant, owned by Genesis Foundation Board of Directors member and former standout Left Winger for the Kings and Bruins, Jay Miller, and his wife, Paula, hosted a wonderful dinner at the conclusion of the event. This commitment and generosity enables The Genesis Foundation for Children to support programs so that children born with rare diseases and genetic disorders receive the diagnosis and care necessary to maximize their potential. This funding will continue to help families across New England for years to come.

A special thank you to our event hosts, Jay and Paula Miller, Keith and Jill McLaughlin and Jason and Kerry Bourne.
