#GivingTuesday: a global movement celebrating a day of giving!
On Tuesday, November 29th, 2016, we are a part of a call to action that will change the calendar and help make history. We are celebrating a day dedicated to giving — when charities, families, businesses, and communities will all come together for #GivingTuesday, a movement to make an impact during the holiday season.
In 2015, more than 45,000 partners in 71 countries participated in the movement. Through the power of social media, the hashtag was mentioned more than 1.3 million times, resulting in milestone trending on Twitter and most importantly, a tremendous increase in donations.

As the alarms begin to buzz at 5 a.m. this November 29th across the country, The Genesis Foundation for Children will begin sharing photos and messages each hour of the day to illustrate how our work is making an impact.
- -Build Excitement before #GivingTuesday: Help us build awareness for The Genesis Foundation’s campaign by posting tweets like: I’m supporting @TheGenFound on #GivingTuesday and helping children reach their potential!
