A long-time member of the Board of Directors, Matthew became the organization’s President upon the death of founder Dr. Murray Feingold in 2015. Matthew has several decades of experience managing for-profit startups and establishing companies in the fields of real estate, broadcasting, transportation, and travel; he also brings experience in fundraising for educational and medical non-profits. With the support of a wonderful staff, generous donors, active Executive Committee, and Board of Directors, Matthew looks forward to the growth in funding and outreach of The Genesis Foundation in this era of unparalleled opportunities in the research and treatment of children born with genetic diseases. Matthew is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Director of Events
Christine came to The Genesis Foundation in 2013 with 10 years of experience in nonprofit association management and event planning at The Greater Boston Real Estate Board. There she held a number of positions during her tenure from coordinator level to senior management of two divisions within GBREB: the Building Owners & Managers Association and the Real Estate Finance Association. She attended Simmons College and has called the Boston area her home ever since.
Special Events Manager
Alyssa joined the staff of the Genesis Foundation in 2016 with over 5 years of experience in nonprofit association management and corporate event planning. Alyssa previously worked at the association management firm, Capitol Hill Management Services located in Albany, NY. Alyssa graduated from the University at Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.
Accounting & Human Resources Manager
Marylou joined The Genesis Foundation in 2011 as a permanent part-time Accountant. A graduate of Salem State University, Marylou has held a variety of accounting positions in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. She is thrilled to be working for an organization with such an admirable mission.
Philanthropy & Communications Specialist
Elizabeth joined The Genesis Foundation in 2016 with four years of nonprofit management, youth mentorship, and national service experience with City Year, Inc., both in Boston and Denver. She is a graduate of Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, majoring in English and creative writing, and holds a certificate from the Institute of Nonprofit Practice affiliated with Tufts University.
