A long-time member of the Board of Directors, Matthew became the organization’s President upon the death of founder Dr. Murray Feingold in 2015. Matthew has several decades of experience managing for-profit startups and establishing companies in the fields of real estate, broadcasting, transportation, and travel; he also brings experience in fundraising for educational and medical non-profits. With the support of a wonderful staff, generous donors, active Executive Committee, and Board of Directors, Matthew looks forward to the growth in funding and outreach of The Genesis Foundation in this era of unparalleled opportunities in the research and treatment of children born with genetic diseases. Matthew is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships
For more than a decade, Bethany has served as a leader in the nonprofit sector. Residing in the Boston area, Bethany led corporate fundraising for the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, securing key partnerships with the biotech and medical device industry. While at the National Brain Tumor Society, she engaged thousands of donors, volunteers and corporate partners in critical patient advocacy events. To understand nonprofit challenges across cause sectors, Bethany joined the sales team for the San Diego tech-startup and SaaS fundraising platform, Classy.org. Bethany subscribes to a patient-centric world view and is passionate about The Genesis Foundation’s unprecedented approach to coordinated care for children with rare and genetic disorders.
Director of Events
Christine came to The Genesis Foundation in 2013 with 10 years of experience in nonprofit association management and event planning at The Greater Boston Real Estate Board. There she held a number of positions during her tenure from coordinator level to senior management of two divisions within GBREB: the Building Owners & Managers Association and the Real Estate Finance Association. She graduated from Simmons College and has called the Boston area her home ever since.
Special Events Manager
Meghan comes to the Genesis Foundation with over five years experience in both nonprofit and corporate event planning. Most recently she held positions at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Santander Bank. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Bridgewater State University, and spent five years working as a freelance stage manager with local community theaters throughout South Eastern Massachusetts.
